Big Ups to "BAMBU"

Bambu "Crooks & Rooks" Music Video (Broadcast Version) from Xylophone Films on Vimeo.

Big ups to the big homie Bambu, first time I seen this dude was on the wake up show when he was still in the group Native Gunz. I was a fan immediately, he doesn't fall into the gimmick that modern day Rap/Hip Hop portrays. He's like a revolutionist for minorities and one that every Filipino Rapper should hear and learn from. In a world where staying positive is far and few Bambu is committed to helping communities and teaching the youth how to not follow in his prior footsteps (way before T.I. ya'll). But don't get it twisted he fights for what he believes in and will still f*@K you up if you test him.
I just recently got in contact with Bam thru mutual friends and the good old myspace. I checked his show out in the bay and we got to talking and politican, then a few weeks later we got on our first track called "Sides" Produced by Young L (Droppin this summer with a video to back it up.) I was surprised by how humble and down to earth Bam was, this industry is filled with some cocky ass people or ones who don't remember what it was like to be a young upcoming hungry artist. He laced me up on a lot of game regarding the industry and what moves i should make to better my career and advance. Its always good to meet Real People with a good message in their music, and I was glad to hear he respected what I was doing as well. Make sure to check out his videos and catch his one of his shows, you won't be disappointed. Bam rocks out solo with just his DJ behind him (note: he doesn't bring 150 of his homies on stage with him! LOL), he brings out Hip-Hop in its true colors and delivers a real message in his music.
